It’s that time again for another fun-filled weekend at the St. Patrick’s School Annual Irish Games Festival held at the TRAC.

Every year is jam-packed full of activities to do, booths to explore, and music to hear.

The main band this year, Cambalache, a popular Seattle group will be performing Salsa music. Cambalache swings into action starting at 9 pm on March 18th. Music isn’t the only thing to look forward to at the festival. Of course, there will be tons of good food from many different vendors, and as with all great Irish events there will be plenty of green beer, a Leprechaun Carnival with rides, games, hair and face painting, and sporting events, as well as a show and shine featuring automobiles from the Olympia Beatnicks Car Club. The sporting events include:

Things to do in Tri-Cities, WA

January 19th, 2011

I don’t know about everyone else, but this time of year isn’t my favorite.  The holidays are over, the weather is cold (kind of), the flowers aren’t blooming and there’s only a few weeks left of football.  This is when I start to think a nice vacation to Hawaii is needed…

But, if you, like me, aren’t in a position to take a tropical trip, let’s see what we have coming up in the lovely Tri Cities!  There’s quite a selection of events, including the Harlem Globetrotters, Riverdance, Toby Mac, BB King, Dancing Horses, and the Tri-City Americans Hockey games.

So, hang in there!  We still have lots of exciting things coming our way.  Even if it’s not tropical.

Ideas for Christmas Break

December 16th, 2010

Christmas Break for most school aged children begins December 18th and goes through January 3rd. If you aren’t taking the family to Disneyworld or some tropical paradise for the Christmas holiday chances are you may be looking for some activities to keep the kids occupied for their 2 week hiatus. Of course, many new family movies come out over the holiday break to capitalize on this fact and this year is no exception. Click here for movies and times.

You could also check with the local Parks and Recreation Department to see the available activities in your town. Click on the city of interest whether it be Richland, Pasco, or Kennewick for a schedule.

No matter what you and your family may, or may not have planned for the Holidays we hope you enjoy this time together! The Kenmore Team wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
